We are a small business, run by a married couple from North Beach, MD. We do not have any storefront at this time but operate our online Shopify store, which has free/reduced shipping rates for local orders in the Southern MD area. Come meet us at any local events we're participating in this year!

Chesapeake Tea Co. is all about wellness - mind, body, and spirit. We believe in the power of kindness, the interconnected beauty of nature, educating people about herbalism, mutual aid, the importance of mental health resources, and rights for all humans, amongst many other beliefs. And we make tea! Delicious, organic, herbal, loose leaf tea blends (both caffeinated and not), made from ethically and locally sourced ingredients. 

Wellness is a multifaceted goal for which I believe tea can be a powerful tool, whether through medicinal properties of herbs, hydration from drinking it, or the stillness and mindfulness that tea time brings to you. I don't think one cup of tea can change your entire life, but I think it can be a start. I have complex health problems and, throughout my health journey, I've grown to rely on herbalism as heavily as I rely on Western medicine. I also used to be a teacher, which is why I love sharing my experience and sharing so much information about herbalism, in addition to making tea.
